Act of Valor (Movie)

Today while watching the movie Act of Valor I was deeply moved by a poem written by Tecumseh~

So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion;respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide.

Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place. Show respect to all people and grovel to none.

When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself. Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision.

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

To those who have given their lives for our freedom... Gratitude is not enough but it is all I can offer!
Forever GRATEFUL for your service!

    1. It was a moving tribute to what our service men & women go thru! I personally know men who were ON one of those missions and it moves me the lengths they go thru to keep US safe!

  2. A pleasing personality is a combination of attitude, behavior and expressions. You’ll never lose your attractiveness regardless of age when the path of your personality flows from both your face and heart. So, both character and charisma is important in life!

  3. Life is a boomerang. Be it thoughts, actions and behavior, sooner or later they return, and that too with great accuracy. Treat people with respect on your way up because you’ll be meeting them on your way.

  4. What I believe, goodness has a way of coming back. That is the nature of the beast. One does not have to do good with a desire to get back. It just happens automatically.

  5. To an egocentric person, the world begins, ends and revolves around him only. An egotist can be funny by default. An egotist talks down to and looks down on others.
